2016 Call for City Challenges

2016 Call for City Challenges

Cities and Counties are invited to complete the Call for City Challenges form to be considered for the next round of projects undertaken by the Thriving Earth Exchange (TEX).

Projects are selected on a rolling basis.

Communities of any size from around the world are encouraged to submit a project challenge that focuses on solving a specific, local issue related to natural hazards, natural resources, or climate change. The submission process is meant to be simple, allowing the city to provide more information about local challenges.  TEX will review the information and identify if pro bono Earth science expertise may provide a valuable component of a community-driven solution.

TEX generally accepts one new project every two weeks. Please indicate in the form below if your project idea is time-sensitive.

Once You Submit an Application:

Your submission will be reviewed by TEX staff, and we will reply within one week with more information and a proposed timeline for collaboration. We may reach out to request more information, as needed.

If your project idea is TEX-ready, we will reach with proposed next steps. This will include a preliminary conference call with TEX staff to refine the project and define the parameters.
