Maria Sharova is Thriving Earth Exchange’s Community Science Fellow Program Manager. She is responsible for supporting and facilitating the growing network of fellows as they manage community science projects. This includes enhancing the resources, support, and opportunities we share with our network of Fellows and the communities they serve. She is particularly interested in facilitating science engagement through effective project design, management, and evaluation.

Maria worked with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, Ecological Society of America, and CleanAIRE NC before joining AGU’s Thriving Earth Exchange team. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Maryland, College Park and an M.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife, Conservation Biology from North Carolina State University.
