Senior Manager, Thriving Earth Exchange Cohorts
As a geographer and environmental scientist specializing in energy, water, participatory engagement, and natural resource management, Amanda Shores’s work has involved many of the interconnected water, climate, and energy challenges of the 21st century. She has focused on interdisciplinary approaches to address issues regarding sustainability, energy, climate, social infrastructure, vulnerable communities, and the food-water-energy nexus. Amanda comes to us most recently from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where she worked as the Environment and Health Policy Specialist. Prior to this work she was a AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a Science Officer with the Future Earth US hub. Amanda is a longtime resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, with her partner and two young children.
