Jenny Riker is a teaching-focused Lecturer in the School of Earth Sciences and a member of the Volcanology and Petrology research groups. Jenny studied for her B.S. (2003) and M.S. (2005) in Geology at the University of Oregon, then moved to the U.K. in 2008, where she discovered cream tea and have stayed ever since. Following a stint as a research technician at Cardiff University, she came to Bristol to do her PhD in volcanology, finishing in 2013. Jenny also spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Durham University before starting her current post. She is a past Council member of the American Geophysical Union (2013-2016).
