Ramesh Singh is a professor of Earth System Science and Remote Sensing at Chapman University. His research interests include natural hazards, early warning of coastal earthquakes, soil moisture, landslides, snow avalanches, floods, dust storms, remote sensing applications, geophysical explorations, and atmospheric pollution. He is the author of 193 published research papers and editor of eight published books. From 2004-2011, Dr. Singh served as Vice President of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) Commission on Georisk, and is now an honorary member. He is currently serving as the President-Elect of AGU’s Natural Hazards Focus Group with a seat on the AGU Council.
