Rick Murnane has been an AGU member since 1984. His current research focuses on extreme events and climate and past research on global ocean carbon cycle, germanium’s geochemical cycle, and ocean particle cycling. Rick has significant international experience and connections to international organizations, has worked in academia, and has an interest in transforming science into a form that is understandable and usable. Rick holds a Ph.D. in Geological and Geophysical Sciences from Princeton University.
